Runner’s World Complete Book of Women’s Running. Paperclippy starts marathon training today! So I went in search of a good running book on how to plan our runs, coordinate strength training, and eat right for training. Includes how to run to lose weight, train for any race, and how to make sure you prevent running injuries while training.
YOU GUYS! I was looking at various magazines’ Facebook pages for work, and I saw this on Runner’s World’s page! A free 8-week class from Run by Foot Locker to train you for either your first 10K or to help you get faster. I just signed up — let me know if you sign up, too!
The real news from this article is that Kara Goucher’s pregnant (and apparently Paula Radcliffe is too), but I personally was more excited to read that they’re coming to NYC to run this 10K in June. I bopped over to the race site and registered. The article says the pair will “run quite slowly”—which of course means they’ll still beat me by a ton, but maybe they’ll at least be in sight.
Runners in NYC, get thee registered and come see these awesome gals!

You may not be faster than a speeding bullet, but bullets don’t go 26.2 miles.

Everyone mark your calendars for June 2 at 7pm! We’ll go for a 30-40 minute run - all levels of runners welcome. Best of all, this IRSC meetup will be an official event on National Running Day! We’ll meet at our usual spot - Central Park/Columbus Circle, and follow our run up with a happy hour at a near by bar.
Runkeeper is now on Android!
Hey everyone!
It’s been a while since our last meetup, and that’s mostly because (my) triathlon training and traveling has gotten in the way. But, with the triathlon out of the way in less than two weeks, expect to step away from the Internet and start lacing up your running shoes!! BONUS: The weather is extraordinary!
Keep on running until then!
